Couples Therapy

Get Back to Loving and Enjoying Each Other

You love each other, but lately it feels like you're speaking different languages

Maybe every conversation turns into a fight, even when you're trying to connect. Maybe you and your partner have different cultural experiences or expectations.Or maybe you've stopped talking about anything real because it's easier to avoid conflict than risk another argument. You feel distant, misunderstood, or like you're constantly walking on eggshells.

You might have tried couples therapy before, but it felt like generic tips that didn't fit your relationship. Or maybe you read articles and tried communication techniques that just made things more awkward. Nothing seems to help you actually understand each other.

I’m Here to Help

Couples therapy can help you break out of the patterns that keep you stuck. You'll learn to communicate in ways that create real understanding instead of more hurt. You'll reconnect with each other and remember why you chose this relationship in the first place.

A wooden table with a white calendar open to the months of January to December, a coffee cup with coffee on a white saucer, a small potted plant with green leaves, a closed notebook, and a vintage camera, with sunlight casting shadows onto the table.

Is This What You're Going Through?

  • Every conversation feels like it turns into a fight, even about small things

  • You feel disconnected from your partner and don't know how to get back to each other

  • One or both of you shut down during conflict instead of working through it

  • You're exhausted from the same arguments happening over and over

  • You love each other but you're not sure if that's enough anymore

  • You want to feel close again but don't know how to get there

This is what happens when communication breaks down and patterns take over. Couples therapy can help you understand what's really happening beneath the surface and create new ways of being together.

Couples Therapy Can Help You Feel Connected Again

It's possible to feel better. Imagine what it would be like if you could:

  • Talk to each other without everything turning into a fight

  • Feel heard and understood by your partner

  • Navigate disagreements without shutting down or exploding

  • Feel close and connected instead of distant and alone

  • Trust that your relationship can handle hard conversations

  • Remember why you fell in love in the first place

Through couples therapy, you can break free from the patterns that have kept you stuck. You'll learn to communicate in ways that bring you closer instead of pushing you apart.

Build a Relationship Where You Both Feel Understood

Couples therapy helps you get underneath the surface arguments and understand what's really happening for both of you.

You'll learn to recognize the patterns that keep you stuck in the same fights. You'll discover how to communicate what you need in ways your partner can actually hear. Over time, the tension will ease, the connection will deepen, and you'll feel like a team again instead of opponents.

The approach I use is designed specifically to help couples reconnect emotionally and understand each other on a deeper level, not just learn surface-level communication tricks.

Here's How We Can Help You Reconnect

To help you heal your relationship, I use an approach proven to create lasting change

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

EFT is one of the most researched and effective approaches for couples therapy. It helps you understand what's really happening when you fight and what you're both actually needing from each other. Instead of focusing on who's right or wrong, we'll explore what's underneath the arguments.

EFT helps you stop the pattern where one person is always chasing and the other is always pulling away. You'll rebuild trust and feel safe being vulnerable with each other again. You'll learn to reach for each other in moments of tension instead of shutting down or lashing out. Over time, you'll feel more connected, less alone, and more confident that your relationship can handle hard moments together.

How Couples Therapy Works

Our sessions are 60- 75 minutes with both of you together, usually weekly. I create a space where both partners can share honestly without fear of judgment. You won't feel blamed or ganged up on. This is a space for understanding, not taking sides.

Here's how we'll work together:

A park scene with cherry blossom trees in full bloom, a lake on the left, a sandy walking path, and a black park bench in the foreground.

1. Create a safe space for both of you

You'll both feel comfortable sharing what's really going on without fear of being dismissed or attacked.

2. Understand your patterns

We'll explore the cycles you get stuck in and what's driving them underneath the surface arguments.

3. Address what’s happening right now

We'll focus on the immediate issues causing tension so you can start feeling some relief in your relationship.

Two women are sitting at a table in a cafe, looking at a smartphone, smiling, with coffee cups in front of them, inside a brightly lit space with large windows and hanging lights.

4. Learn to communicate differently

You'll practice new ways of talking to each other that create understanding instead of defensiveness. These aren't generic tips but real skills tailored to your relationship.

5. Rebuild connection

Over time, you'll notice real change. You'll feel closer, communicate more easily, and trust that you can handle conflict together without everything falling apart.

Research shows that EFT helps couples create lasting change, with most couples reporting significant improvement in their relationship satisfaction and emotional connection.

Let’s Get Started

Start Finding the Connection You've Been Missing

You're both exhausted from the tension and disconnection, and it makes sense that you're tired. It's possible to feel close again, to communicate without constant conflict, and to build a relationship where you both feel truly understood.

That journey starts with a conversation where both of you can share what's really happening. Let's talk about what's going on for you and explore how I can help.
